1. Who we are

Medway Ltd, trading as Medway Pharmacy, is responsible for the personal information we hold about you (the "data controller"). Medway Ltd is registered in England and Wales, company number 16575671. Our registered office is Richmond House, 50 Tontine Street, Ground Floor, Blackburn BB1 7ED, and our pharmacy is at Railway View Works, Wood Street, Dukinfield SK16 4UT.

If you have any question about this policy or about your information, contact us on 0161 399 0066 or at info@medway-pharmacy.com.

2. What information we collect

Most of this comes from you or from your prescribing clinic, which posts your original prescription to us. Royal Mail tells us when your parcel has been delivered, and Stripe tells us when you have paid.

3. Why we use it, and our legal basis

Our pharmacists and staff are bound by a professional duty of confidentiality.

4. Who we share it with

We do not sell your information.

5. How long we keep it

Pharmacy records are kept for the periods required by law. Other information, such as correspondence and complaints, is kept only for as long as we need it for the purpose it was collected for, and is then deleted securely.

6. How we keep it secure

Your records are held in our pharmacy system, and access is limited to staff who need it for their role. Payment is taken through Stripe payment links, so no card details are entered on our site or held by us. Our website is served over a secure (HTTPS) connection.

7. Your rights

You have the right to ask for a copy of the information we hold about you, to have it corrected if it is wrong, and, in some circumstances, to have it deleted, to restrict how we use it, to object to our using it, or to have it transferred to you or another provider. Because the law requires us to keep pharmacy records, we cannot always delete them on request, but we will tell you if that applies.

To exercise any of these rights, contact us using the details in section 1. We will respond within one month.

If you are unhappy with how we have handled your information, you can complain to the Information Commissioner's Office at ico.org.uk.

8. Cookies

This website does not set non-essential cookies. See our Cookies page.

9. Changes to this policy

We may update this policy from time to time. The date at the top shows when it was last changed.
